HMS Scott was a destroyer named after Sir Walter Scott launched October 1917 but mined or torpedoed off the Dutch coast on 15/8/1918 by the German U boat UC 17 with the loss of 22 of the crew.
According to the CWGC, AB John George Channon died while serving on HMS Scott on 3 March 1918
