Only son of the late William Pratt and Marie Collins of Beckenham, now of 10 Lingfield Ave, Kingston on Thames.

Educated Eastbourne College, joined staff P&O in London and enlisted in Artist’s Rifles in Jan 1915. Commissioned in RFC Jan 1916
