DAVIES A died as a result of a flying accident 19/6/1917.

He was an accountant clerk for Beckenham Council, previously at Bermondsey, and joined the London Rifles in Aug 1914. In Dec 1915, he gained a commission in the S Staffords and went to the front, transferring to the RFC 55th squ in 1916.

He was a fine athlete, cricketer and rugby player for London Clubs. He has a memorial grave in the City of London Cemetery,  Manor Park, 141.65650. B J 7/7/1917.
