Died 31/10/1916 Age 23 Grave 0.22. SALONIKA (LEMBET ROAD) MILITARY CEMETERY 

Son of Eustace Rhodes St. Clair Corbin, M.B. Lond., M.R.C.S. Eng., and Linda Augusta Jane Corbin (nee Peel), of “Merivale,” 7, Beckenham Rd. 

2nd Lt Charles Robert Peel Corbin worked for the County & Westminster Bank from Dulwich College and worked his way from Corporal in W Kent Yeomanry to Sgt in Gallipoli and 2nd Lt in 11th Worcesters but died of wounds incurred 13.10.16 when fighting Bulgarians in Macedonia.

The British Army was being called to fight battles of others with pointless loss of life
