2nd Lt, 19th (County of London) Bn (St Pancras) On 2/3/1916 age 20 at the Empire Hospital, Vincent Square, died of wounds received at Loos on 25/9/1915.
Name is remembered on Bay 9 or 10 ARRAS MEMORIAL and at Westminster School. Only son of Charles Reginald Dawson of Beckenham, a tea merchant and importer, and Eleanor Hannah, youngest daughter of William Spencer Mitchell of Cambridge.
Born 23/12/1895, admitted to Westminster as a King’s Scholar on 23 September 1909, commissioned as a 2nd Lieut, 3 /10/ 1914, he went to France on 17 June 1915.
